Cascada is a medium-sized focal center located very near a soft-drink bottling plant called, "Cascada," that was very famous a few years ago. The "Roca Blanca" communal association is organizing itself with the goal to seek financing to push their businesses forward. The businesses are diverse: food sales, machine shop, welding, blanket weaving, cosmetics sales, multicolored woolen cloth and wood crafts, sweater weaving, sweatshirt making.Valentina Castaya is married and has 4 children: two boys and two girls. She wants to start her first loan in order to increase her working capital; she is a blanket weaver. These blankets go through a three-step process: first, the blanket itself is woven with whatever design is in fashion. Once a rectangle measuring 70x150 centimeters is attained, the member weaves the edges with a weaving hook making a special, 12 centimeter, design. Finally, long fringe, that had previously been knotted and twisted to encircle the blanket, is added. The blankets are sold in the 16 de Julio zone every Thursday and Sunday from 5am to 7 am.
