Nathalie Sonou was born September 9th, 1960, and has been living in Godomey, a city in the Abomey Calavi commune of Benin, for 19 years. Nathalie is married to Jacques Hounsou, a driver, and is the mother of four. She also supports one additional child. All of the children attend school. Nathalie lives with her children and her husband. The couple share responsibility for the household expenses. Nathalie never went to school. To earn a living, Nathalie sells condiments (fresh tomatoes, hot pepper, spices, etc.), palm oil and bissap (hibiscus flower) leaves out of her home. She buys her stock in Malanville, in northern Benin, and at Dantokpa, Benin�"s international market. This has been her work for 10 years. Nathalie has already received one loan from ALIDé, which she paid back. She is now asking for a second loan from ALIDé, in order to increase her product inventory and better meet her clients�" needs.
