WHILE it seems likely there will be trophies for The Dark Knight Rises after it is released, it has already won an accolade ahead of its arrival on July 20, 2012.
Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan are pictured accepting an award for the film being this year's most anticipated release.
The The Dark Knight Rises was named "most manticipated movie" at last weekend's 2012 Guys Choice Awards, held in Culver City, California.
Mark Wahlberg handed over the antler-shaped golden trophy, citing his love of Batman throughout the years and mocking his friend George Clooney who played the caped crusader in 1997's much-reviled Batman & Robin.
Christian Bale thanked fans for their passion for the trilogy and their excitement for The Dark Knight Rises.
The Guys Choice Awards will air on Saturday, June 9, on Spike TV at 9/8c.
