Sony Pictures has purchased the pitch for the "origin story" Peter Pan Begins , says an article at The Hollywood Reporter .A few more details have emerged since last week's announcement of the project, which would see Channing Tatum take a leading role in a prequel to the classic J.M. Barrie tale. Word now has it that the story involves Peter Pan and Captain Hook being brothers.Alongside Tatum, the pitch includes writer Billy Ray ( Shattered Glass ) and producer Joe Roth ( Alice in Wonderland ).The story of Peter Pan has been adapted on quite a few occasions, including, most famously, a 1953 Disney animated version. Alternate takes on the Barrie story have been offered in cases like Steven Spielberg's 1991 film Hook , a sequel of sorts to the original tale....
