Director McG linked to new Wonder Woman series

NOW that the new Wonder Woman series has found a home at NBC, the network seems to have lassoed a director for the pilot.

McG's name hit the net today as TVLine's Michael Ausiello reported that he has "emerged as the odds-on favorite to direct the pilot for NBC's much-hypedWonder Woman remake."

Intriguingly, there have been no confirmed talks between the director and network bosses, yet he's still considered the frontrunner.

McG's credits for television include Chuck, Nikita, Supernatural, and Human Target (which was also a comic-based show). While his experience in direction lies primarily in feature films, he did direct the pilots for both Chuck and the short-lived Fastlane.

He's an easy fit with his production company based with Warner Bros but, more than that, he also has experience making women kicking ass. After an earlier career with music videos, he broke into feature films with the relaunch of the Charlie's Angles franchise, directing both big-screen adventures for the detective trio.

So, is McG the right choice for Wonder Woman? Who would you want to see bringing back this series?
