The Cochapamba communal bank is made up of a group of enterprising women who are always looking for ways to succeed in life and who see in every opportunity a way to continue growing both personally and at their family level. This bank is in the community of Cochapamba, El Valle parish, in the southeast part of Cuenca. This area is well-known for its corn production and its tourist attraction: its lake full of bullrushes.Rosa Banegas is a member of the Cochapamba communal bank. She is a very sociable and cooperative woman; she maintains deep friendships with the other members of th bank. She is just 23 years old and lives with her life partner and her 5 -year-old son. Her husband works in construction Monday through Friday and on weekends he makes deliveries in his van. Thanks to their joint effort, they have managed to build their own home.She raises and sells dressed chickens on order and cattle. She has been in this line of work for two years.
