ROBERT PATTINSON has lost his No 1 spot in a league table of top actors and actresses.
He was pushed off the top and into third place by Johnny Depp in Internet Movie Database's Starmeter Top 25 of 2010.
The rankings are based on the most-searched celebrities on the site, rather than on box office performance, awards or critical assessments.
Depp was third in last year's list but this year wrested the crown from Twilight heartthrob Pattinson. It's the sixth year Depp has been the winner.
Depp, seen this year in Alice in Wonderland and The Tourist, will next be heard as the voice of the chameleon title character in animated adventure Rango (released in March) and will also reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, out in May.
Pattinson's Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart stays in second place for another year. The vampire romance franchise continues to exert a mesmerising hold, with the final chapter Breaking Dawn launching on November 18, 2011, and concluding with its second instalment a year later.
