ThanXgiving (2010) is a reboot of the Bobby Ray Akers, Jr. 2006 film of the same name, which includes never before seen footage and all new material. The flick stars Ari Lehman (Jason - Friday the 13th), Suki Peters, Scarlet Salem, Joe Knetter, Sandra D. Thomas, and Cody Matthew Blymire. Look for it on DVD on October 29th! Check out the cool retro feel poster above, several images and the new opening scene at the bottom of the page.

Special features include an in-depth retrospective with the cast exploring the real hauntings on which the film was based and the long journey towards completing the movie.

"ThanXgiving was cursed from the beginning; we found out after filming that the shooting location was haunted," says Akers. "Six months before filming began, someone took their life with a gun where we shot the beach scene. Shooting was halted by the unexpected appearance of hornets pouring out from the shack, when it was carefully examined before shooting. It rained every day, turning the ground into a mud slide. An unseen presence se...

SHARK NIGHT 3D Gets it's First Four Cast Members

Snakes on a Plane director David R. Ellis is prepping up for his next film horror film Shark Night 3D. We had our 3D piranhas, now we are going to get a little taste of some 3D shark action. Ellis has started to gather his cast together for the film who will take on the 3D shark madness.

Sinqua Walls, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz and Joel David Moore will star in campy 3D horror film being written by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes.

The story revolves around seven men and women who spend a weekend at a lake house in Louisiana's Gulf area. Their vacation quickly becomes a nightmare of hellish shark attacks. unheard of in freshwater lakes, they soon discover that the sharks are part of a sick, greedy plan on the part of several locals.

Yes fresh water sharks! Maybe we'll see a piranha shark team up in a future 3D sequel!

Walls is playing a Tulane University linebacker with plans on marrying his college sweetheart (Diaz).

Carmack is the ex-boyfriend of the female lead, still uncast, who was scarred in a boating accident.

Moore is providing the comic relief as a socially awkward guy who fancies himself a young Brad Pitt.

The film is scheduled to start shooting in early September in Louisiana. I enjoyed Snakes on a Plane, so there's a chance Shark Night 3D will be a lot more fun than Piranha 3D.

What do you all think about Ellis' Shark 3D?

Watch this Rare Interview with Rod Serling as he Talks about Creating Science Fiction

I love it when thing's like this just happen to pop up on YouTube! This is a rare 1970's never before seen interview with The Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling. In the video he is talking with sci-fi author James Gunn about his classic TV series, the stories he created and his thoughts on creating science fiction. It's really a great and interesting interview.

Cause, see, I love science fiction, but I'm an aficionado, not a contributor, and I say this, you know, with no stupid, dumb, dumb humility at all. I'm am purely a Johnny-come-lately. I am perhaps the least scientifically knowledgeable man in the whole writing group, and I bow with great deference and respect to the real masters, you know, Asimov and Bob Heinlein and Sturgeon and all the rest of them. And these, of course, and yourself included, because you write pure science fiction. I can adapt science fiction I think quite adequately, but I can't create it on an original level.

YouTube Description:

In 1970 University of Kansas professor James Gunn interviewed a series of science fiction authors for his Centron film series "Science Fiction in Literature". This footage from an unreleased film in that series featuring an interview with Rod Serling, which wasn't finished due to problems with obtaining rights to show footage from Serling's work in television. This reconstruction is based on the original workprint footage that was saved on two separate analog sources since the audio track was separate. Re-syncing the footage was a long involved process as the audio track didn't match the film and there was substantial sync drift. While not perfect, there's a lot of interesting...

Jonathan Liebesman Attached to Direct CLASH OF THE TITANS 2

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures is actually moving forward with a sequel to Clash of the Titans. Why? Because that's how hollywood rolls. Who cares that the first movie sucked, it made a lot of money! So of course they will make a potentially crappy sequel in hopes that it will rake in some more cash.

The studio has hired director Jonathan Liebsman to develop the film. Liebsman's work include films such as the upcoming Battle: Los Angeles, The Killing Room, and Darkness Falls. The guy is a decent director and I've enjoyed his work. Battle: Los Angeles looks like it's going to be awesome, but I just don't have a lot of faith that the sequel will be any better than the first film.

Now Warner Bros. wants to try and do a better job this time around. They plan on shooting the film in 3d instead of converting it. But, as you know 3D doesn't make a movie good. It's all about story and script, which is why they are bringing in some of their best writers to tackle the project such as "Greg Berlanti, one of the writers of Green Lantern, Dan Mazeau, who worked for Warners on The Flash and Jonny Quest, and David Leslie Johnson, writer of Red Riding Hood, the studio’s horror thriller starring Amanda Seyfried, worked together on the treatment, with Mazeau and Johnson now writing the script." Only time will tell if bringing in all these writers to create the story and write the script will pay off.

Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are already set to reprise their roles in the sequel. I was always...
